Sensory Movement Music & Play Program consists of 4 colorful sessions, each with 6 different classes—adding up to 24 UNIQUE and NON-REPEATING CLASSES. Families can join at any time during the year. Each session is color-coded—Orange, Blue, Green, and Pink—and includes its own set of songs, games, and sensory activities, making every class feel fresh and exciting.

Our goal is to offer a rich variety of songs in English and Spanish, along with creative sensory activities you can easily recreate at home—many of which might surprise you with how fun and engaging they are for your little one.

No need to know Spanish—this program is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all families!

Hello! Happy family. I'm the founder of Zone for Babies and Kids since 2009. As a child development teacher, I've created a program that gives you the opportunity to enjoy quality time together through sensory play. These classes are designed for pure enjoyment, filled with movement, singing, dancing, being loud, and embracing the joy of messiness! Because mess is FUN! Get ready to participate in a one-of-a-kind program taught in both English and Spanish, providing a unique experience unlike anything you've encountered before.

Come join our unique sensory music classes in English AND Spanish for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in San Diego. Offered outdoors at beautiful Kate Sessions Park . These creative and educational brain-building classes are taught by Ms. Yuru Lameda, also known as “The Babies and Kids Whisperer.”

Master teacher Ms. Yuru Lameda has a degree in Early Childhood Education and over 16 years of experience working with children and their families. Ms. Yuru will teach and share with you how quality time with infants and toddlers engaged in sensory play will lead to healthier, happier, and smarter kids!

From birth to age 5, your child's brain is growing rapidly. Sensory play, combined with engaging songs, is crucial during these early years, enhancing brain development, fine and gross motor skills, and language acquisition. Our bilingual sensory music class also provides an opportunity to expose your child to Spanish as a second language in a natural and fun way.

No prior knowledge of Spanish is required. These rich, varied sensory experiences lay the foundation for the skills your child will build as they grow, making these early play opportunities essential for their future success.

Fall Pink Session includes six unique classes filled with exciting songs, engaging activities, and a new sensory experience each week to spark your child’s imagination and growth. Together, we’ll sing about the duck, explore colors, dive into the world of sea animals, and learn about the clock, all while engaging in fun musical games that promote language development. We’ll practice numbers, sing about the moon, explore alphabet letters, ride along with the train, discover vowels, and move while learning about body parts.

To make this session even more memorable, we’ll be celebrating the holidays in December with a magical class! Santa and Rudolph puppets will make a special visit, and children will enjoy a festive sensory activity designed to capture the magic of the season.

This program introduces songs and activities in both English and Spanish, providing a playful and engaging way to expose children to a second language. No need to know Spanish—this inclusive program welcomes all families, fostering imagination and essential developmental skills in a vibrant and supportive environment.

People always ask me if I have kids… and my answer is: not yet 💫. I haven’t met the right man for me — or the right dad for my future babies. I truly believe that God’s timing is perfect, and we’ll meet when it’s the right time for Him and for me 🙏💛

But meanwhile… these two are my daughters 🐾💕 Cali 🖤 and Gypsy 🤎 — my yin and yang, the sweetest, most loving, playful, beach-loving girls just like me 🌊☀️

And if you had dogs before having kids, you know exactly what I mean — they prepare you for so much! From sleepless nights when they get sick, to having company even in the bathroom 🚿😂, to the financial responsibility of vets and insurance… they even prepare you for when your future kids might get stung by a bee 😮‍💨🐝 (I’ll tell you later why I said that one!)

When you see children chasing and popping bubbles, it might look like simple fun — but it’s actually a full workout for their brain and body! 🧠💧

After seeing a post about it, I had to check it out with my own eyes — and it’s super cool!
I’m not a big fan of scary Halloween stuff, but it’s quite interesting to see all these decorations, especially if you have kids who enjoy it.

It’s definitely a sensory experience — lights, sounds, textures, and spooky surprises everywhere! 👻✨

If your little one gets scared easily, this might not be the best spot to visit — I saw a little girl crying and my heart just broke 💔.

✨ In the blink of an eye, this graduation will be from college and not from our Bilingual Sensory Movement Music & Play program. 🎓

This past week, several of our little ones graduated, and I have to confess—it’s been an emotional moment for me. 💖 Some of them will continue in our classes, but others are now ready to take the big step into school. Many of these children have been with us since they were babies, and watching them grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey as a teacher👩🏻‍🏫.

At the same time, it fills me with nostalgia knowing I might not see those tiny faces and little hands in the same way again. 💔Maybe I’ll see them later in our Art & Culture program when they’re older 😀—but the truth is, time moves so quickly. It feels cliché to say it, but it’s so real: childhood flies by, and every moment is precious.🔝

Let’s embrace these early years, because before we know it, the time we share will belong to the grown-ups they are becoming. 🌟

Every song and every sensory activity is designed with one purpose: to build meaningful bonds and joyful learning. 💛
